As such, each piece of Messerstahl Cutlery is guaranteed to be free of any and all defects in workmanship and materials for as long as you own the product.   This warranty is expressly granted in lieu of all other warranties except implied warranties. Messerstahl will replace or substitute at equal value any returned knife or accessory shown upon examination to be defective at our discretion, and without charge. Should any unit be damaged in a fashion not covered by this warranty, you are entitled to a replacement of that piece at a cost representing one-half of the prevailing suggested retail price.   With the exception of damages resulting from Messerstahl Cutlery's failure to comply with federal or state warranty law, this warranty does not cover any incidental or consequential damages, whether direct or indirect.   Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary state to state. All transportation charges and shipping expenses are the purchaser's responsibility. Coverage for your Messerstahl Professional Kitchen Cutlery terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the Messerstahl Cutlery.
